EASA requirements for offshore operation of aircraft need the installation of an AD-ELT. SPAES has the available EASA STC. The emergency transmitter can be installed at the lower or middle fuselage of the helicopter.

The following devices are installed with the AD-ELT:

• Beacon and Beacon Release Unit on the lower fuselage of the airframe
• Cockpit Control Panel in the center panel of the cockpit
• Water Activated Switch on the bottom of the lower fuselage
• Aircraft ID Configuration and System Interface Unit in the avionic compartment
